PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING STEEL TUBES

Strips – Rolling – Welding

BHARAT INDUSTRIES conduits are manufactured on fully automated plant by high frequency welding system which ensures perfect wielding and the minimum required inside Weld Bead to ease the wire pulling.
The Weld area is as strong as the pipe’s steel itself, hence any kind of bending job can be carried out without any chance of opening of the seem or being prone to cracks. Even though the raw material used is tested quality, in house testing is carried out in accordance to IS specification to ensure that the production of the pipe suits the application.

End Chamfering and Draw Bench

Conduit ends are chamfered which removes the sharp and burred edge left after cutting, to prevent damage to wires and enhance safety for installers.Conduit are passed through Draw Bench Machine for perfect circular shape and straightening of pipe.

Threading

Threading is done on an automatic threading machine having Lanco Chasers which maintain uniformity on the length of threading on major diameter as well as on minor diameter and the pitch of the threads. This uniformity facilitates easy fitting of all the conduit accessories. The threads are checked with Screw Thread Gauge which ensures the quality threading of the pipes.

Stove Enameling

THE MEDIUM PROTECTION COATING, of the pipe with black stove enamel is done by dipping process which ensures proper coating inside and outside of the pipes. The pipes are baked in an automatic electric oven controlled with digital thermostat system to requisite hardness of the paint and gloss finish on the conduit.

Hot Dipped Galvanize (GI)

THE HEAVY PROTECTION COATING, of the pipe with MOLTEN ZINC is done by dipping process which ensures proper coating inside and outside of the pipes. The Galvanized pipes best suitable for protection against moisture and other corrosion agents.

Testing

BHARAT INDUSTRIES (BI) CONDUITS, have adequate mechanical strength to stand the tests which are required for conduits to pass as per specifications to go through Bend Test, Flattening Test, and Compression Test before being taken to the final process.
RAW MATERIAL testing is done at our lab before taking it to process.
Diameter: Devices fitted on tube mill to achieve uniform diameter of the conduit on line.
External Features: Chemical tests for Heavy and Medium protection of conduits are performed, which ensures protection against water, oil, building materials, low and high temperature, corrosive and polluting substances.
Laboratory Instruments are regularly calibrated from NABL Labs for perfect readings.
